SEDGWICK, Ark. (KAIT) - Arkansas State Police said a Pocahontas man died Tuesday morning in a head-on collision.

According to the preliminary fatal crash report, it happened at 5:54 a.m. on U.S. Highway 63 in Sedgwick.

Jeffrey Watson, 39, of Pocahontas was southbound when his 2013 Jeep Cherokee crossed into the turn lane and collided head-on with a northbound 2016 Ford F-150 waiting to turn left.

Watson died in the collision.

The driver of the Ford, 35-year-old Jose Arriaza, and his passengers--37-year-old Sayra Lopez, 41-year-old Kenya Lopez, 35-year-old Josue Pozo, and 24-year-old Ever Lopez--all of Jonesboro, suffered unspecified injuries. They were taken to Jonesboro hospitals for treatment.
